What happens at your first appointment
During this appointment we will discuss in depth your illness. Its duration, cause and progression. I will ask how it feels to you and what makes it worse and better. Then I will ask many other questions about your general health. Many new patients in my clinic often gain a lot of insight from this procedure and may even begin to see connections in various symptoms that they hadn’t made before.
I will then follow with a series of physical diagnostic tools. These may be more familiar kinds such as joint and muscle assessment, or traditional ones such as tongue, pulse and abdominal diagnosis.
Once all the information is gathered I am able to formulate a treatment plan and will able to tell you how often I will need to treat you and for how long. If I do not think my acupuncture treatment can help I can suggest what else might be suitable. I have many colleagues who may be able to help you.
